A great big thank you to all our regular customers - who we now class as friends. You guys have been a great source of knowledge and laughs. Barry and I are very grateful for your support and appreciate your understanding when we struggle to source products or information for you.
To all our other customers please come in and make yourself at home. The wood fire is burning beautifully and the cappucchino machine is still free so help yourself. Cheers till next time. Wish they were as easy to find in the bush as they are on the computer - well no that would make it too easy !
Oh Wow
Here we are in a new year ! Susan was made redundant in December last year so she is now in charge !! Barry will be available to consult as the "Subject Matter Expert" but this will give a Susan more time to promote , search and find those great specials for our wonderful customers. Please follow us on Facebook and keep in touch. Happy New Year and cheers !! WOW - it's been horrific. Rain, wind, cold - dreary, miserable the list of adjectives goes on. At least it's nearly August and then Spring is just around the corner.
The great news is - we didn't get flooded yet this year so looks like the problem has been fixed. We have been turning over firearms at a great rate of knots, they come in and they go out - thats what we're here for. it's been great to get such support from the locals and we even have customers coming from all over the state. It's been tough to get stock from our suppliers as in turn it's been tough for them to get stock from the States, but it looks like that may be improving slightly. Anyway, if you are passing by - drop in for a warm by the woodheater and a free cuppa. But be careful you don't fall asleep in the recliner watching the hunting DVD's. WOW - it's been nearly a year since I've been here !
Time flies when you're having fun. This year I got my first deer permit for the property Barry has been hunting on since he was a boy. Didn't enjoy the early mornings traipsing around the bush in the dark but even though I didn't get a shot off I did see some deer. Enjoyed a great Easter there watching the stags in the silly season. A large group of fawns galloping around the crop paddock acting the fool had me watching them till the sun went down. This weekend, Saturday & Sunday 9am till 4pm we will be having our first ever sale - with 10% off store stock. If you are heading on over to Coastal Marines big Boat Expo drop in and see us for a warm by the woodfire and a hot cuppa. Check out Susan's broken wrist and ask her "How she did it ?"..
Well, I thought it was about time I shared this little video with you all. Many thanks to Max for being there and having the camera recording.
The worst of the expletives have been omitted - so enjoy ! PS: make sure you mention it when you pop in to the shop for a cuppa and a chinwag. Oh my Goodness - Christmas has come and gone and what a rush !!
The shop has been hectic, with lots of Gift Vouchers going to very apreciative Dads, Brothers, and friends - heaps of arrows and junior bows gone out the door. The Archery corner is looking very sad and depleted so now it's work work work to get more stock in for everyone to be able to use their christmas presents. So sorry I haven't been keeping up with the blog - we never realised just how busy we would be over the break. Now it's time to sort out all the clothing orders for winter and the ammunition for the deer season. I'll try to keep you updated over the next months on the new arrivals. Happy shooting and keep your powder dry. |
